Kaiser Permanente seeks a skilled Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of our Labor and Delivery unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to our patients while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise a single unit of approximately employees, ensuring effective human resources management, department safety programs, and risk management.
- Monitor the allocation and utilization of personnel based on patient population/needs, providing the best level of patient care while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers outside of the unit to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.
- Investigate and resolve patient/family member concerns regarding patient care.
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, or other related leadership experience.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing. High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- ACLS certification strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
