Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinical Manager

The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager is a licensed therapist with experience providing short-term, evidence-based individual psychotherapy to individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals and families to address mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, and will have theoretical knowledge of child development and an understanding of the importance of the caregiver-child relationship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual counseling and psychotherapy to individuals diagnosed with ASD/IDD, offering support and evidence-based interventions to address a variety of mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with case managers and clinical leaders to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Assess and address risk, escalating high-risk clinical concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with funder and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision and work direction to direct supervisees, including skills enhancement, clinical consultation, and professional development.
  • Meet or exceed Behavioral Health Services Program operating targets as an individual and for supervised teams.
Qualifications:
  • A current valid license in good standing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • One or more years' experience as a licensed clinician, with a preference for two or more years.
  • Two or more years' experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role.
  • Must meet qualifications to provide clinical supervision hours to Marriage and Family Trainees and associates and/or Associate Clinical Social Workers.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge and experience providing psychotherapy to individuals utilizing evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and/or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
  • Experience providing services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • Theoretical knowledge of childhood development and experience working with families to support the caregiver-child relationship.
  • Commitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams.
  • Enthusiasm for the values of the organization, including disruption and resilience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with bilingual ability preferred.
  • Confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintenance of all HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software.
  • Capacity to consistently demonstrate the use of good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 50lbs.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others in the workplace continuously.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.
  • Occasional driving (to and from office and client homes).
  • Ability to utilize computer, cell phone (iPhone).
  • Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
  • Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision-making; constant concentration required when working with clients.
  • Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer.
  • Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies, including responding to physically aggressive behavior.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation needed.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License with insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Must attend any required training.
Time Type:

Full time

Compensation: $104k-$109k annually
