A. PURPOSE

The Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the execution of all team members' duties by providing direction, guidance, and accountability based on daily workflow requirements.

The Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the store, ensuring optimal sales and profitability through effective merchandising, inventory management, expense oversight, human resources coordination, and controlling operating costs and shrinkage.


B. JOB DUTIES

Assists in managing store personnel to ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with corporate standards.


Accountable for maintaining Loss Prevention strategies, including managing controllable expenses.

Capable of performing the duties of other roles as necessary (Cashier, Sales Associate, and Merchandise Associate).

Regularly collaborates with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) regarding operational performance metrics and inventory conditions.

Works with the Category Manager to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance per product.

Implements safety policies and procedures; serves as a safety advocate.

Reviews all store signage daily to ensure it is accurate, current, and in excellent condition.

Completes all daily inventory management tasks by deadlines to ensure precise inventory records.

Assists with and ensures adherence to opening and closing procedures.

Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly cleanliness standards and addresses any issues immediately.

Informs team members of all promotions, events, and essential job information to ensure customers are well-informed.

Ensures task execution and is responsible for prioritizing the daily workload among team members to achieve daily workflow objectives.


Educates and follows up with team members regarding the promotion of Ace Rewards.

Ensures staff is trained and accountable for store policies and procedures, motivated, engaged, presentable, punctual, and delivering exceptional customer service.


Maintains strict cleanliness and organizational standards in the backroom.

Provides constructive feedback and coaching to direct reports as necessary.

Handles and resolves customer complaints professionally in accordance with company standards.


Responsible for ensuring team members are knowledgeable about product lines and technology platforms.

Ensures the store is organized and prepared for business each day.

Collaborates with senior leadership to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and/or AGM.

C. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in retail operations.

High School diploma required; some college education preferred.

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrates capability to lead and develop others consistently and professionally.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in all situations.

Familiarity with retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel is required.

Strong knowledge of available products and the ability to stay updated on product trends.

Demonstrates strong leadership and analytical skills.

Exhibits strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Comfortable with delegating and directing tasks.

Maintains professionalism in appearance and demeanor.

Exhibits efficient planning and organizational skills.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team of up to 20 employees.

Proficient in general technology systems.

D. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to climb stairs and ladders using proper safety measures.

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach.

Use of hands for POS and computer tasks.

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours or more).

E. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work in a heated and/or air-conditioned indoor setting, including a warehouse.

Willingness to work flexible or non-operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
