A. PURPOSE

The Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily activities of associates, ensuring that all responsibilities are executed efficiently and effectively in alignment with workflow requirements.

This role is crucial for maintaining the store's operations, driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising, inventory management, expense oversight, and human resources administration.


B. JOB DUTIES

Assists in managing store personnel to guarantee adherence to company policies, processes, and standards.


Responsible for implementing Loss Prevention strategies and managing controllable expenses.

Capable of performing the duties of other positions as necessary (Cashier, Sales Associate, and Merchandise Associate).

Regularly collaborates with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) to assess operational performance metrics and inventory conditions.

Works with the Category Manager to maintain pricing accuracy and standards for products.

Enforces safety protocols and serves as a role model for safety practices.

Conducts daily reviews of store signage to ensure it is accurate, current, and well-maintained.

Completes all daily inventory management tasks by established deadlines to maintain accurate stock levels.

Assists in ensuring that opening and closing procedures are executed properly.

Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly cleanliness standards and addresses any issues immediately.

Informs associates about promotions, events, and essential job information to keep customers well-informed.

Ensures task execution and is responsible for effectively delegating daily workloads among associates to facilitate smooth operations.


Educates and follows up with associates regarding the promotion of loyalty programs.

Ensures that staff are trained and accountable for store policies and procedures, while also being motivated, engaged, presentable, punctual, and delivering exceptional customer service.


Maintains high cleanliness and organizational standards in the backroom.

Provides constructive feedback and coaching to team members as necessary.

Handles and resolves customer complaints professionally, adhering to company standards.


Ensures that associates are knowledgeable about product offerings and technology platforms.

Responsible for ensuring the store is organized and ready for business each day.

Collaborates with senior leadership to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and/or AGM.

C. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in retail operations.

High School diploma required; some college education preferred.

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with keen attention to detail.

Demonstrates capability to lead and develop team members consistently and professionally.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly in all situations.

Proficient in retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel.

Strong knowledge of available products and current trends.

Demonstrates strong leadership and analytical abilities.

Exhibits strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Comfortable with delegating tasks and directing team efforts.

Maintains professionalism in appearance and demeanor.

Exhibits efficient planning and organizational skills.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team of up to 20 employees.

Technologically proficient in general systems.

D. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.

Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach as necessary.

Proficient in using hands for POS and computer tasks.

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours or more).

E. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work in a climate-controlled indoor setting, including warehouse areas.

Willingness to work flexible or non-operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
