Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Operations Supervisor to join our team at the Lower Colorado River Authority. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of our hydroelectric power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of skilled electrical and operations craft personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of the power plants.
  • Review and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve work processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with plant management, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and track employee performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Develop and track metrics to measure the effectiveness of work processes and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 9+ years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Electrical Journeyman's license or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of leadership and creating an environment of employee involvement and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining conventional gas and coal-fired power plants.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining hydro turbine-based power plants.
