Job Summary

The Administrative RN Coordinator is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for the overall management of our facility's operations. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of areas as assigned.
  • Act as a liaison with patients, families, physicians, and employees, providing high-quality service and support.
  • Coordinate and supervise patient and family issues, as well as department issues, during assigned shifts.
  • Make decisions as necessary, accepting accountability for those decisions, and taking immediate action to resolve critical situations.
  • Communicate effectively with Administrator on-call, Department Head, or Unit Director, seeking assistance in decision-making when needed.
  • Document significant events and problems occurring during shifts in the administrative log, with appropriate resolution and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with bed board and admitting to coordinate beds for in-house transfers, direct admissions, and intra-hospital transfers between both hospitals.
  • Consider staffing, diagnosis, and patient needs when making assignments.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current RN licensure for the State of Florida.
  • Three to five years of management experience as a solid charge or supervising RN required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge: uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
