Job Summary

Restaurant Depot is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant - Cash Room Manager to join our team. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Cash Room, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Cash Room.
  • Maintain accurate records of Cash Room related transactions, including safe counts, toll vouchers, coupons, returned checks, coin orders, petty cash, IOUs, and key inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including proper procedure for armored car pick-ups and data entry into proprietary software.
  • Review bank website daily to monitor bad checks and debits, and review weekly emails from the bank concerning credit inquiries.
  • Cash out cashiers at the end of each shift, maintain records of discrepancies, and issue corrective consultations for discrepancies above policy tolerance.
  • Maintain employee break sheets and perform other work-related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of similar experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, and proportions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with a mix of sitting, standing, and walking. The pace is job-set, varying depending on customer activities. Industrial vehicles, such as forklifts and Hilo, may be present in the warehouse.
