Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Court Clerk I. In this role, you will perform a variety of legal clerical duties under moderate supervision, utilizing your independent judgment to interpret and apply procedures and precedents to specific misdemeanor cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and carry out duties related to court proceedings, including preparing and maintaining records, and communicating with court staff and attorneys.
  • Use independent judgment to interpret and apply procedures and precedents to specific misdemeanor cases, ensuring accurate and timely processing of court documents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to court staff, attorneys, and the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with other court staff to ensure seamless operation of the court, including coordinating with judges, attorneys, and other court personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal or administrative setting, preferably in a court environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
