Ascent Resources is in search of a seasoned Facilities Engineering Consultant to join our team.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the engineering designs for multi-well surface facilities, managing projects from inception to completion, and providing guidance and support to junior engineers and operational staff.

The primary focus of this position will be to spearhead our initiatives related to the natural gas compression program, which includes well-head compression, gas lift compression, and facilities flash gas recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering efforts for the natural gas compression program, ensuring maximized production and cost efficiency through the optimization of the compressor fleet across various wells and facilities.
- Develop and uphold engineering standards, design specifications, process models, and safety assessments.
- Establish the operational philosophy and engineering design basis, including oil, gas, and water PVTs and takeaway capacities.
- Generate cost estimates for AFEs and budgeting, providing comprehensive engineering and construction packages while executing projects safely and efficiently.
- Manage supply chain risks related to materials and equipment through effective vendor selection and delivery scheduling.
- Conduct technical analyses to assess execution and cost performance, presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and make recommendations for their evaluation and implementation.
- Mentor and support junior engineering personnel across various disciplines.
- Offer assistance and solutions to colleagues and management, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to create value through extensive knowledge and experience across multiple technical disciplines.
- Expert knowledge in natural gas compression design, including sizing, technology applications, vendor management, and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in multi-well surface facility development, engineering, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with production operations and artificial lift systems.
- Proven ability to implement best practices and drive performance improvements across teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ProMax, and CAD software.
- Knowledgeable in ASME, GPSA, API, and other relevant engineering standards.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in facilities engineering, with a focus on natural gas compression and production engineering.
Preferred:
- Experience in the Appalachian Basin.
