Role Summary:
This position involves the development of comprehensive plans and specifications, conducting analyses, and generating reports related to the design and construction of new facilities, as well as the operation and maintenance of existing systems. The role requires a technical approach to resolving equipment and operational challenges, which may include field investigations, inspections, and detailed design work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee, review, and validate the work produced by Design Engineers and other technical staff.
- Make informed interpretations and decisions regarding system protection for the transmission network, providing technical clarifications and design recommendations.
- Take charge of conceptual design, execution, and the accuracy of intricate engineering design projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert in electric systems protection, control mechanisms, substation automation, and electrical design.
- Provide specifications and evaluations for materials related to circuit breakers, protective relays, and other power equipment.
- Consult with planning departments and other stakeholders on project alternatives and optimal design solutions.
- Represent the company in various industry organizations to exchange knowledge on protection, control, and automation issues.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems through thorough research and technical expertise.
- Utilize advanced engineering principles to create and modify designs for protection and control systems in electric substations.
- Lead the design team, offering guidance and support throughout the design process.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer among team members, reviewing and consulting on engineering design details at various stages, ensuring accuracy and correctness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (including at least 4 years as an Engineer).
- Possession of a valid State Driver's License.
- Professional Engineer designation is required.

- This position is classified as safety-sensitive, and individuals will be subject to the company's Drug Testing Plan.
