Role Overview:

The Patent Administration Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Via LA's patent evaluation processes. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Contract and Patent Administration Department's functions, responsibilities, and interdepartmental interactions to effectively organize and plan operations. This hybrid role necessitates on-site presence at the office for a portion of the workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality work products consistently, demonstrating reliability and initiative in task completion.
  • Exhibit professional courtesy and foster a respectful workplace culture, collaborating effectively with colleagues to resolve conflicts.
  • Contribute positively to a team-oriented environment, recognizing the contributions of team members and assisting with additional projects as needed.
  • Enhance customer relationships through regular communication, ensuring that all client needs are addressed.
  • Maintain and audit the patent database to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage data entry and tracking within the patent database, generating necessary reports on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Update the patent database following the completion of evaluations, ensuring accuracy in submitted evaluation forms.
  • Conduct research on patent information, including priority dates and family data.
  • Monitor the progress of patent evaluations and liaise with evaluators as required.
  • Communicate with patent holders as necessary to facilitate processes.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting department to manage patent evaluation fee invoicing.
  • Assist in preparing various patent-related reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy in all outputs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Contract and Patent Administration on patent submissions and outstanding evaluations.
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for patent-related inquiries.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of department processes and procedures for reference and compliance purposes.
  • Provide organizational support related to contract and tax matters as needed.

Compensation:
