The Navigators is seeking a skilled Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

**Responsibilities:**

* Administer all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and the 403b plan.
* Distribute benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility, ensuring the accuracy of all enrollments in the HRIS.
* Assist with new-hire benefit orientations and the open enrollment process.
* Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
* Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
* Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA.
* Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.

**Requirements:**

* Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
* Strong organization and time management skills with an emphasis on customer service.
* Two years of experience in Benefits Administration or Human Resources preferred.
* Microsoft Office; advanced Excel preferred. Proficient in cloud-based HRIS (Workday HCM preferred) and transferring Benefit Update/EDI files.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships.
* Ability to analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate complex information across diverse teams and individuals.
* HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or college coursework/equivalent experience preferred/required. HR or Benefits certifications preferred but not required.
