Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Advocate to join our team at Axess Family Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support and advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services to adults entering our shelter, including initial assessments, regular meetings, and follow-up reports.
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans to help residents achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
  • Connect residents with community resources and agencies to support their well-being and stability.
  • Facilitate educational groups and activities to promote social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and community partners to ensure a trauma-informed and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics to inform program development and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with survivors of domestic violence.
  • One to two years of experience in a domestic violence shelter or social services setting.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
