Position Overview

The Biocontainment Safety Educator will be an integral member of the Environmental Health & Safety team within the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL). This role involves reporting to the Assistant Director of Training and is focused on delivering comprehensive training to individuals requiring access to high and maximum containment laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct training to trainees, ensuring a thorough understanding of safety protocols.
  • Assist with various programmatic elements as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the training program.
  • Engage with research personnel, support staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate safety training.
  • Monitor and mentor trainees to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with a minimum of five years of pertinent experience is required.
