Job Summary

The Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a highly skilled Grants and Contracts Analyst to provide dedicated professional level sponsored funds management. This role will be responsible for pre-award and post-award functions, including proposal preparation, submission, budget development, account maintenance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently on a variety of grants and contracts, ranging from simple to moderately complex.
  • Provide standard professional administrative level guidance on protocols, regulations, and guidelines to Principal Investigators and other scientific professionals.
  • Interact with external research and administrative professionals.
  • Manage simple to moderately complex grants and contracts, including those from NIH, NSF, DOD, and NASA.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two years of administrative/budgeting experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education.
Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of the RAT (Research Administration Training) Program is equivalent to three years of relevant experience for this position.

Working Conditions

This is an exempt position, and the successful candidate will work independently with support from senior/management level grants and contract professionals.
