Regional Sales Director

Seeking a seasoned sales professional to expand business in the Southeast region for a global company specializing in spray technology and engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience in the process equipment industry, with a proven track record of selling process equipment. Key responsibilities include expanding business by identifying and developing new opportunities, overseeing and nurturing relationships with current clients, and handling relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand business by identifying and developing new opportunities within the designated region for the company's products.
- Oversee and nurture relationships with current clients to drive growth.
- Handle relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities to leadership, including travel logs, expense summaries, CRM updates, competitive intelligence, and market trends, in line with company standards.
- Identify purchasing patterns, evaluate customer needs, and foster strong client relationships.
- Initiate customer inquiries, follow through, negotiate terms, and finalize sales agreements.
- Work closely with engineering teams to develop proposals, adjust market pricing, assess conditions, and align with company guidelines.
- Analyze client requirements and recommend the most suitable product solutions.
- Contribute to evaluating market size and growth potential.
- Enhance visibility of products and the company within the market.
- Increase the rate of successful sales conversions.
- Share sales performance data with management to support future sales planning.
- Assess the necessity of participation in local trade shows.
- Monitor the status of ongoing project quotes and maintain CRM updates.
- Manage sales operations within the allocated budget, including travel, marketing initiatives, and product samples.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree in a technical field; from an accredited institution.
- Advanced Business or Economics Degree a plus.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience in the process equipment industry.
- Proven sales records in selling process equipment.
- Experience in selling steel or aluminum is ideal.
- Highly motivated.
- Professional work ethics.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Business environment awareness/knowledge: negotiation, closing deals, etc.
- Organized.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Punctual, reliable, self-directed.
- Proactively oriented towards solving customers' problems.
