Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Sensor Operations Systems Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing systems engineering, program planning, and mission management support to the SIGINT sensor operations organization. Your contributions will include:
  • Drafting Concept of Operations documents and developing task schedules to facilitate program planning.
  • Monitoring project status and providing assistance to ensure successful project execution throughout its lifecycle.
  • Gathering and analyzing project requirements, offering technical and programmatic insights for proposed initiatives.
  • Researching new technological advancements and engaging with vendors to provide informed recommendations.
  • Facilitating the transition of legacy systems to a unified sensor and data operations framework, ensuring all system requirements are met.
  • Maintaining awareness of sensor-related efforts across the organization to identify efficiencies and synergies.
  • Delivering management, support, and technical guidance related to system procurement, integration, and testing.

Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field with at least 20 years of systems engineering experience; or a Master's degree/PhD with a minimum of 18 years; or a high school diploma with 24 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to translate high-level requirements into functional specifications while considering technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Experience in planning and deploying SIGINT systems in collaboration with government partners.
  • Demonstrated skills in technical planning, systems integration, and risk analysis for newly integrated systems.
  • Familiarity with SIGINT sensor systems and collection methodologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Desired Experience:
  • Ability to navigate technical and organizational challenges to achieve mission objectives.
  • Experience with tactical SIGINT, particularly in relation to UAV platforms.
  • Knowledge of program transition and decommissioning processes.
  • Experience managing technical issues across multiple SIGINT projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with peer organizations and represent projects effectively.
  • Strong advocacy skills for customer positions while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Experience in overcoming barriers to success through collaborative solutions.
  • Understanding of System Security Accreditation processes.
  • Experience in hardware/software development, especially in communications systems.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and a team-oriented mindset.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000, reflecting the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
