RBR-Technologies is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to provide expertise in support of our client initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee system requirements and associated specifications to guarantee the successful delivery of operational systems aligned with established architectural frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Contribute to the formulation of critical systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assist in defining system and functional requirements, ensuring proper allocation to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
  • Facilitate the resolution of action items arising from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design assessments, program evaluations, and testing reviews that necessitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Review and provide insights on program and contract work breakdown structures (WBS), work packages, and the integrated master plan (IMP).
  • Engage in the creation of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
  • Participate in establishing and securing approval for the definition of systems or components under development, encompassing requirements, designs, interfaces, and testing procedures.
  • Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services, including Confidentiality, Integrity, Non-repudiation, and Availability, as well as basic Information Assurance Mechanisms.
  • Implement comprehensive Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions.
  • Establish operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for architectures in accordance with applicable DoDAF standards.
  • Formulate a structured process to proactively manage changes to requirements, assess impacts prior to commitment, secure stakeholder agreement, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability, and track outstanding actions.
  • Support the planning and analytical aspects of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process and other Government Certification and Accreditation processes.
  • Assist in the development and review of Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) documents, including Initial Capability Documents and Capabilities Description Documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
