Job Overview

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep of all properties managed by Red Rock Behavioral Health Services. This role involves identifying maintenance needs, performing repairs, and coordinating with external contractors when necessary to uphold safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment during standard hours and on-call as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and address them promptly, utilizing skills and tools available.
  • Assist in repairs related to basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and perform minor carpentry and painting tasks.
  • Manage landscaping and irrigation to ensure the health of plant materials.
  • Utilize a computerized system to track work orders and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure all facility equipment is operational and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Prepare properties for inspections and maintain compliance with fire and safety standards.
  • Support office moves and oversee the work of contractors, ensuring quality and adherence to contracts.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to stay updated on policies and procedures.
  • Travel to various locations as required for maintenance tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills for research and work order management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a focus on quality and detail.
