The Facilities Operations Supervisor is accountable for the effective management and upkeep of facility systems, ensuring optimal safety, reliability, and efficiency across all company sites. This role involves overseeing the daily functions of the Facility Building Mechanic Foreman and their teams, as well as managing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic, HVAC, and mechanical systems. The supervisor ensures that resources are appropriately allocated to meet workload demands and leads the facility operations team in providing support during emergencies and Incident Command System events. Collaboration with various departments on projects and repairs is essential. Administrative duties encompass budgeting, coordination, communication, quality assurance, personnel management, safety protocols, and training initiatives.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITYThis position supervises the daily operations of the team, establishing priorities to ensure task completion. Decision-making is guided by established policies, procedures, and the overarching business strategy. The supervisor typically does not engage in the same tasks as subordinates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Oversee the performance and development of team members; inspire, coach, and cultivate a positive team environment.
• Conduct fair and comprehensive evaluations and performance reviews for direct reports, ensuring thorough observations.
• Provide ongoing feedback to team members regarding their performance and areas for improvement.
• Ensure high-quality repair work on equipment and facilities.
• Monitor team performance metrics, including repair ticket completion, callback rates, equipment failure rates, and emergency responses.
• Manage overtime to align with the operational needs of the organization.
• Promote a culture of safety by exemplifying and coaching behaviors consistent with Incident and Injury Free (IIF) principles; ensure compliance training and certifications are completed.
• Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance to guarantee the proper functioning of all facilities.
• Ensure adherence to operational standards and emergency response protocols.
• Maintain compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Supervise external consultants, contractors, and vendors involved in facilities-related projects.
• Monitor budgets and resources to achieve operational goals; prepare capital estimates for facility maintenance.
• Align facility resources with Incident Command System (ICS) requirements.
• Understand team members' career aspirations and provide guidance to help them achieve their goals; address and resolve any concerns raised by team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTSA Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field, along with 6 years of experience in design, construction, or maintenance within commercial or industrial facilities; or an Associate's Degree in a similar field with 8 years of relevant experience.
Must maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute commute to the assigned service center.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis role involves office work utilizing computers and may require extensive hours outside of standard business hours based on workload demands. Travel throughout the company's service area is necessary to engage with internal and external stakeholders, inspect job sites, and oversee project activities. Occasional overnight travel may be required for conferences, workshops, and training.

• Strong understanding of facility construction projects and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

• Capable of providing effective leadership by setting clear direction and building trust within the team.
• Proficient in collaborating and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and allocate resources efficiently.
• Competent in problem-solving and making informed, fact-based decisions.
• Adaptable to changing work conditions and business needs.
• Proficient in MS-Office Suite and relevant company software.

SALARY RANGE$85,000 - $113,984.00
