Responsibilities:
The primary function of this role is to oversee the Automation systems.

Collaborate with frontline leadership.

Receive an additional $1.50 for night shift work.

Eligible for profit-sharing opportunities.

Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve plant and departmental objectives.

Recommend enhancements to tooling and machinery.

Respond to alerts and implement corrective measures related to quality concerns, processing, and minor repairs of machinery, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

Effectively communicate with shift personnel regarding product quality, equipment status, special instructions, corrective actions, and productivity metrics.

Engage with fellow process technicians, shift supervisors, and technical staff on technical matters.

Provide guidance for Automation systems in collaboration with Production and Maintenance teams.

Support and oversee the IBM vision systems, working alongside Production and Maintenance personnel.

Be aware of potential hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical risks, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic substances.

Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance as required.

Adhere to Safety Standards.

Maintain Quality Standards and follow established protocols.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Contribute to Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.

Conduct necessary safety evaluations of equipment and processes before project initiation.

Support your workgroup's success through quality, timeliness, and professionalism.

Provide accurate and timely data for performance tracking and reporting.

Uphold Safety Standards.

Utilize resources effectively while ensuring quality.

Maintain a work environment that supports safety and GMP compliance.

Follow established procedures, perform self-checks, and pay attention to detail in your work and your team's work.

Notify management promptly of any compliance issues.

Report quality issues and deficiencies in a timely manner.

Make suggestions to management for enhancing quality and efficiency.

Oversee projects to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical tasks including hand dexterity, climbing, balancing, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Experience with computer systems such as JD Edwards, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools such as rulers, micrometers, and calipers.

Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically.

Comply with all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
PPE includes but is not limited to hard hats, safety eyewear, safety shoes, hearing protection, and disposable masks.

Maintain an attendance record in line with company policies and be available for required overtime.

High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred, along with 2-4 years of hands-on experience with automated equipment operation/set-up, or equivalent education and experience.

Prior experience with automated manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

Able to problem-solve, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Some travel may be necessary.

Must pass a drug screening.

Work safely at all times.
