This position is entirely remote and offers a paid internship opportunity.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a government suitability clearance.

The Cloud Automation Engineering Intern will collaborate with our technical team to investigate and create Cloud-based applications and automation solutions tailored for Anika Systems.

Interns will engage with a range of automation methodologies, including:

  • Scripting and low-code/no-code technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Throughout this internship, you will:

  • Acquire foundational knowledge of cloud services and learn to provision and configure these services through automation.
  • Explore multi-cloud infrastructure design and management, specifically with Azure and AWS.
  • Develop automation software and prototypes using a suitable combination of programming and scripting languages, such as Python, .Net, and Java.
  • Utilize DevOps tools with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) techniques to automate the construction and maintenance of Cloud infrastructure, facilitating advanced applications, data management, and Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
  • Implement DevOps practices to automate data operations (DataOps) and the training and deployment of Machine Learning models (MLOps).
  • Deploy ML models across various environments and integrate them into our solutions.
  • Use cloud-native monitoring tools to assess system behavior concerning load and failure conditions, enabling proactive failure prevention.
  • Investigate No-Code, Low-Code, and Code-First technologies and tools.
  • Document your work and assist teams in proposal and technical writing.
  • Deliver high-quality code within deadlines for assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Completion of at least one year of college coursework.
  • Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in a technical discipline or a Cloud Engineer Associate's program.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language.
  • A strong technical aptitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Organized and self-driven.
  • Experience in Application Development, Cloud services, DevOps, or Cyber Security is a significant advantage.
