Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a vital role within the UroGen field team. This position is crucial for educating both internal stakeholders and external healthcare professionals. The CNE will be tasked with informing healthcare providers and pharmacists about the safety and efficacy of UroGen's products, as well as offering guidance on their appropriate use and follow-up care.

As part of the sales team, the CNE will collaborate with management to identify priority accounts and support sales initiatives. Additionally, the CNE will assist in training new sales personnel, contributing to the leadership within UroGen's sales framework.

The CNE must exhibit comprehensive knowledge of UroGen's products to effectively educate diverse audiences. Mastery of product details, competitive landscape, disease areas, technical considerations, and market dynamics is essential. A strong customer-centric approach is necessary to cultivate enduring relationships with key decision-makers and thought leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare practices in comprehending the safety and efficacy of UroGen's products, including the proper handling and administration procedures, patient selection criteria, and management of potential side effects.
  • Deliver non-CME educational programs designed by UroGen to various practices and organizations.
  • Support the initial setup of patient education materials provided by UroGen, although direct patient interactions are not anticipated in this role.
  • Serve as the medical information authority within the sales team for the designated region.
  • Address inquiries and concerns related to UroGen's products.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts visited and discussions held.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to create and execute a targeted business strategy for the region.
  • Travel up to 60% of the time is required.
  • Attend medical and nursing conferences at both national and local levels, which may involve weekend commitments.
  • Manage travel arrangements and accommodations while in the field.
  • Complete expense reports for business-related expenditures bi-weekly, at a minimum.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • Active healthcare license in at least one state within the territory.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in critical care is necessary.
  • At least five years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to four nights per week.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or nursing sectors.
  • Comfortable presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Proximity to an airport is advantageous.
