Role Responsibilities:
The Registered Dietitian plays a vital role in utilizing the nutrition care process to:
- Screen and Assess: Conduct thorough nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather data through interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status.
- Diagnose: Identify nutrition risks and problems based on assessment data.
- Intervene: Provide tailored nutrition recommendations and educational counseling.
- Monitor: Track patient progress and adjust nutrition care plans as necessary.
- Lead: Offer supervised practice experiences for dietetic interns and new team members.
- Communicate: Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure timely responses to internal communications.
- Collaborate: Work alongside healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive nutrition care plans.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field with a minimum of three years of clinical experience, or a graduate degree in nutrition with at least one year of clinical experience.
Licensure and Certification:
Active registered dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) and current licensure in the state of practice.
