Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient and family experiences in our outpatient clinic settings. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day operations of the facility, including answering a high volume of inbound calls, scheduling patient appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect co-payments, fees for services, and past due balances, while identifying patients eligible for financial assistance and sliding fee scale discounts.
  • Process billing information, post payments, and follow end-of-day closing procedures.
  • Prepare reconciliation and bank deposit forms, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years medical billing or physician office experience.
  • EHR system experience required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service position.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working Conditions
