Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with the VP of EH&S to establish and implement clear risk management objectives that align with the organization's safety performance goals.

Conduct regular assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and track key performance indicators.

Perform safety evaluations, inspections, and field observations within designated areas. Assist in updating safety training programs, policies, and procedures. Address inquiries related to safety processes and training materials. Investigate incidents and near misses, conducting root cause analyses as necessary. Follow up on corrective actions to promote continuous improvement.


Compile safety data and generate management reports detailing safety activities and outcomes across various divisions.

Prepare reports for management as required. Contribute to the safety newsletter and assist in managing safety awards and incentive programs. Maintain OSHA recordkeeping forms 301, 300, and 300A.

Advise management on compliance issues and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies as directed. Support branch safety coordinators with compliance matters. Ensure adherence to governmental recordkeeping requirements.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety leadership roles.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and build networks.
Proficient in navigating a matrix environment and forming partnerships at various organizational levels.
Ability to drive change with a flexible and positive mindset.

Strategic thinking coupled with a willingness to engage in hands-on activities within the role.

Extensive knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulatory requirements.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Preferred Certifications:
Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Associate Risk Management (ARM) credentials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Work assignments may be performed remotely or at various organizational locations.
