Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of EHS programs and protocols derived from corporate directives to achieve organizational EHS goals, focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, and resource conservation.
- Manage EHS reporting, including performance metrics, regulatory submissions, and compliance documentation required by corporate and client standards.
- Develop and administer an EHS training program tailored to the needs of all personnel, from entry-level employees to management.
- Coordinate an EHS corrective action program, encompassing audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify and rectify EHS deficiencies.
- Lead resource conservation initiatives addressing energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste management.
- Facilitate EHS integration within other business functions such as Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources, ensuring a cohesive approach to safety and environmental management.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship through effective communication and engagement with all stakeholders.
- Supervise the EHS aspects of contractors performing work on-site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health and safety management or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant EHS experience
- Proven experience in safety management within an industrial setting
- Familiarity with resource conservation and energy efficiency practices
- Preferred credentials and certifications in EHS management
- Demonstrated capability in standardization, continuous improvement, and project management.
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels
- Proven experience in managing change effectively.
- Ability to interpret EHS requirements and communicate them clearly to business leaders and team members.
