Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the VP of EH&S to establish and implement measurable risk management strategies that enhance safety performance across the organization.
Conduct regular safety assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
Provide support in updating safety training programs, policies, and procedures. Address inquiries related to safety processes and training materials. Investigate incidents and near misses, performing root cause analyses as necessary. Follow up on corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in safety practices.
Compile and analyze safety data, preparing reports for management on safety performance metrics and initiatives.
Advise management on compliance issues and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies as directed. Support branch safety coordinators in compliance-related matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety leadership roles.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across various levels of the organization.
Proven ability to drive change with a positive and flexible approach.
Strategic thinker with a willingness to engage in hands-on activities within the function.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record with reliable transportation.
Preferred Certifications:
Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Associate Risk Management (ARM) credentials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
Remote work options may be available depending on the role.
