Calm Source is expanding its services to meet the growing demand for substance abuse treatment and is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in the PHP 2.5 program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to help patients achieve recovery goals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to support patient needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and research to inform treatment approaches.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience as a substance abuse counselor.
  • Registration with the Virginia Substance Abuse Professional Certification board.
  • Valid CSAC, LMFT, LPC, LSATP, or LCSW license.
  • No legal impediments to working in a licensed opiate treatment program.
  • Valid driver's license and three years of abstinence if in recovery.
