Civil Engineering Manager

At Synerfac, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineering Manager to lead our team in creating innovative land development plans for our commercial, institutional, municipal, and energy clients. This role will be based out of one of our offices in Washington, Meadville, or Erie, PA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to develop comprehensive land development plans for our clients
  • Oversee and manage all technical activities related to project design and execution
  • Collaborate with our proposal team to develop and submit proposals, including scope of services and cost estimates
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and error budgets to ensure successful project delivery
  • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and reporting to ensure timely completion
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor and manage staff at all levels to ensure their growth and development
  • Assist with onsite and owner meetings to ensure effective communication
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and communicate changes to relevant parties
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering department's annual budget
  • Obtain necessary project permits and assist with preconstruction activities
  • Prepare and submit project closeout documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania (other state licenses are a plus)
  • At least 10 years of Civil Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of staff management experience
  • Expertise in site development is essential, with a preference for Oil & Gas projects
  • Ability to travel among offices and project sites as required
