Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Northpointe Construction. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from planning through completion, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Prepare project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
    • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and inspections for construction projects.
  • Team Management
    • Lead a team of subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure work is executed to the highest standards.
    • Coordinate and supervise site activities to ensure project progression.
    • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Budget & Cost Control
    • Track project costs and prepare budget forecasts.
    • Identify potential cost overruns and implement solutions to stay within budget.
    • Review vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety
    • Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and local building codes.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety regulations.
    • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Client Communication & Relationship Management
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
    • Address any client concerns and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project.
    • Manage change orders and client expectations to minimize disruptions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the residential construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple construction projects from start to finish, on time, and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
