ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Analytics Project Specialist plays a vital role in cutting-edge analytical initiatives that encompass a wide range of healthcare data projects at HSAG. Driven by intellectual curiosity and a commitment to healthcare quality, this position oversees healthcare analytic projects through various phases, including implementation, daily management, analysis, and reporting. Responsibilities include developing project plans and timelines, documenting and managing project tasks, organizing and maintaining project files, supporting and participating in client meetings, conducting online research on healthcare topics, and providing regular updates to the Data Science & Advanced Analytics management team.
Specific project assignments will be discussed with candidates during the interview process.
KEY COMPETENCIES, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a crucial member of HSAG's Data Science & Advanced Analytics division.
- Serve as a liaison between management and staff, effectively communicating decisions and information to relevant organizational units and external agencies.
- Maintain, categorize, and organize documents for assigned projects on appropriate SharePoint team sites and HSAG's corporate and federal networks, adhering to HSAG's governance standards.
- Develop and follow project timelines and schedules, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement quality enhancement activities.
- Participate in relevant healthcare education and training sessions as necessary.
- Coordinate project management tasks, including communication (written, phone, fax), coaching, and training.
- Assist in creating written and data-driven reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Engage with project partners, subcontractors, and other entities on analytics-related projects.
- Meet established deadlines promptly and accurately prepare deliverables, reports, project documents, and correspondence.
- Conduct research via the Internet, including literature reviews on clinical topics as assigned.
- Prepare necessary support documents for project deliverables and assist with documentation and submission using the appropriate methods.
- Conduct Internal Quality Control (IQC) monitoring to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of activities. Present issues and propose solutions, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Represent HSAG professionally at all times.
