Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Slutty Vegan, Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and achieving our strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the General Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, focusing on achieving short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Assist in staff management, mentorship, and performance management to drive employee growth and development.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and maintenance to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Support the recruitment and development of Red Shirts & Crew members, enforcing operating systems and onboarding new staff.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to assess business performance on a weekly and daily basis, providing actionable insights to inform operational improvements.
  • Implement effective policies to maintain exceptional restaurant cleanliness, ensuring compliance with State Health Code Standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with staff, ensuring seamless execution of daily operations.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals, assessments, and discipline as needed to drive employee growth and development.
  • Ensure customer relations are executed to the highest standard, resolving complaints and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulated food safety, risk prevention, fire prevention, and emergency procedures policies, partnering with the General Manager and Health & Safety leaders to maintain a safe and inviting environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of management experience in a fast-casual restaurant concept.
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • Proficiency in technology software and systems, including POS and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to support and teach crew members how to perform day-to-day responsibilities, as needed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Restaurant 365, Jolt, Seven Shifts, Toast, and Dolce.
