Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers and technicians to identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on necessary and recommended services.
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers, ensuring that they are aware of all options available to them.
  • Compute costs of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicles to their original condition.
  • Estimate costs of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs, and enter itemized estimates on service orders.
  • Schedule appointments with customers and ensure that all service orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Meet dealership standards for repair and order production, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest level of quality.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the service they receive.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company's timekeeping system.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the automotive or customer service industry.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Working Conditions

The Service Advisor will work in a fast-paced service environment, interacting with customers and technicians on a regular basis. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

The Service Advisor will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and may be exposed to loud noise, vibration, and other service repair conditions.
