Job Title: Advocate

Religious Community Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advocate to join our team. As an Advocate, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive case management services to survivors of domestic violence, empowering them to achieve their goals and secure a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management services, including crisis stabilization, safety planning, and law enforcement and victim advocacy.
  • Assist survivors in securing stable housing, identifying and securing employment, and service planning in support of recovery and self-sufficiency.
  • Answer the hotline and provide referrals to local community partner agencies.
  • Facilitate support groups to empower survivors of domestic violence to obtain their goals.
  • Collaborate with community agencies, including local literacy programs, career centers, and libraries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Core Competency certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in domestic violence field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Productivity Tools (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Working Conditions:

The Advocate will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with survivors, community agencies, and team members. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advancement/Community Relations:

The Advocate will have opportunities to collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities.
