Job Title: Director of Fleet Asset Management

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Director of Fleet Asset Management to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the overall lifecycle management of our key asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership for the lifecycle management of our key asset classes, including asset acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize asset utilization, uptime, and return on investment.
  • Oversee a centralized team of asset managers and indirectly oversee asset managers associated with specific product lines across the company.
  • Collaborate with MIS to define, implement, and roll out improvements to our Asset Management MIS system.
  • Design and implement asset preventative maintenance cycles and repair programs to minimize maintenance costs and improve uptime.
  • Develop and manage asset maintenance and inventory items, including KITS for each asset class.
  • Drive continuous improvement of asset performance through failure analysis, PM monitoring, condition monitoring, and other initiatives.
  • Lead the evaluation and execution of asset requests, considering all options, including refurbishment, purchasing, leasing, or renting.
  • Manage asset end-of-life disposal, including agreements and bookkeeping responsibilities.
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of statistical reports related to maintenance, repairs, utilization, depreciation, and financial performance.
  • Oversee the purchasing and build process for new assets from start to finish.
  • Provide expert asset management advice to key maintenance, management, and operations staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances and technical developments within the asset categories of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in fleet, equipment, or asset management.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team and influence cross-functionally at senior levels.
  • Critical and strategic thinking, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel 10-25%.
