Job Summary

EmergeOrtho is a leading provider of comprehensive musculoskeletal care, and we are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for managing all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate staff or department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Reschedule Services: Utilize practice management software to perform specific duties, including scheduling and rescheduling services for patients.
  • Direct Incoming Calls: Serve as a primary resource for all incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate staff or department based on pertinent information received from the caller.
  • Return Phone Calls: Return phone calls within acceptable time frames, ensuring that patients receive timely and courteous service.
  • Maintain a Positive Demeanor: Maintain a pleasant, cooperative demeanor while performing all duties, providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff alike.
  • Update Account Information: Update account information in the practice management system as necessary, ensuring that patient records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Retrieve and Direct Messages: Retrieve and direct messages from the general voicemail box and after-hours call service to the appropriate staff member.
  • Notify Team Lead or Manager: Notify Team Lead or Manager of issues interfering with department operations, ensuring that problems are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Technology Skills: Be comfortable using multiple technology-based communication systems effectively and simultaneously, with previous experience using a multi-line phone system preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
