The Clerk II role involves conducting interviews for patients arriving at the Admissions Office. This position is responsible for entering all demographic information into the Electronic Health Record System and overseeing all assessment entry procedures. Additionally, the role includes auditing patient admission documentation to ensure accuracy. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this position.

Other responsibilities may include actively participating in disaster response efforts or supporting the agency's Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation, which may require flexibility in work hours and location.


Key Responsibilities:
1.

Maintain regular attendance and may be required to adhere to a specific shift schedule, including potential rotating shifts, extended hours, or overtime as needed.


2.

Input data into the automated client record system and communicate effectively with colleagues to provide, exchange, or verify information. Address inquiries and resolve patient-related issues with the information provided.



3. Respond to telephone inquiries from family members, patients, and external partners, ensuring calls are routed appropriately.

4. Execute audit control procedures to verify the accuracy of information entered into the electronic record system.

5. Ensure that patient documentation related to admissions is directed to the appropriate units. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to cover shifts as needed is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in admission procedures.
Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
Strong mathematical skills.
Ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively.
