Are you seeking a dynamic and rewarding role that provides invaluable experience in system solution evaluation and interaction with various management and staff levels within the Employment Development Department (EDD), Information Technology Branch (ITB)? The EDD is in search of a driven and qualified candidate to join the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO) as an IT Associate.

This position is under the supervision of the Unemployment Insurance (UI)-Test Group, IT Supervisor II within the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO). The ETO is crucial for the upkeep and functioning of EDD's automated systems. It offers a range of testing services, including but not limited to, system evaluation, performance assessment, and automation testing. Additionally, ETO is tasked with maintaining intricate testing environments and providing support functions related to testing, such as data analysis and data security. This role allows you to leverage your business acumen and technical skills to assist EDD in the evaluation of automated systems that support both internal and external users, particularly those utilizing the EDD Unemployment Insurance and program systems.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, the capacity to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with team members.

This role may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The extent of remote work is at the discretion of the Department and may change based on business needs. Employees are expected to report to their designated office on scheduled in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned office are the responsibility of the employee.
