Position Summary

The Business Analyst, under the guidance of the Chief Technology Officer, plays a pivotal role in supporting key software technology development initiatives for the California School Boards Association and its affiliates. This role is essential in crafting technical solutions that address business challenges by meticulously defining, analyzing, prioritizing, and documenting business requirements. The Business Analyst will effectively communicate insights and recommendations to leadership, vendors, and team members.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid work setting, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration and productivity. It is a full-time, limited-term role designed for a three-year duration, complete with comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systematically gather, document, and prioritize stakeholder business requirements to inform technology solutions and process enhancements.
  • Analyze complex issues, pinpoint challenges, and translate them into actionable specifications.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gain a thorough understanding of business needs.
  • Utilize analytical methodologies to interpret intricate datasets, revealing patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visual representations to effectively communicate findings.
  • Advise on decisions that promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and organizational growth.
  • Map and assess current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in operational productivity resulting from implemented solutions.
