As the Senior Vice President of Operations, you will oversee the manufacturing of advanced laser technologies and components. Your leadership will span multiple manufacturing facilities, driving excellence in operations and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
People Development:
- Mentor and guide team members to achieve their professional aspirations while enhancing their understanding of customer needs and operational environments.
- Build and nurture a high-performing, engaged organization focused on growth.
- Ensure the team prioritizes effectively and applies best practices to streamline operations.
- Communicate the business vision and strategies clearly, linking them to specific functional responsibilities through regular meetings and updates.
- Inspire associates to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with EHS and functional leaders to promote a culture centered on safety, risk reduction, and environmental responsibility.
- Design and implement industry-leading operational processes based on extensive knowledge and experience.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization.
- Manage budgets and performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Ensure a consistent customer experience across all manufacturing and distribution sites.
- Uphold and enhance quality standards within the organization.
- Anticipate customer demand and optimize production schedules and material flow.
- Work collaboratively across functions to leverage best practices and reduce waste.
- Implement daily management processes to ensure discipline and drive improvements.
- Partner with Production Engineering teams to maximize efficiency and production uptime.
- Maintain a focus on key opportunities for improvement through structured kaizen events.
- Enhance procurement processes to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Work with Supply Chain professionals to achieve significant savings on expenditures.
- Ensure material availability to support high productivity and customer service.
- Optimize inventory levels to improve working capital efficiency.
- Define the role of Operations in facilitating innovative product development and ensuring reliability and accuracy.
- Benchmark against industry standards to identify operational advantages.
- Provide critical input to business decisions affecting operational performance.
- Represent Operations in acquisition processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in Engineering.
- Master's degree in Management is preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in engineered solutions manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success in delivering operational results using business system tools.
- Experience in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- Proven track record in talent development and continuous improvement.
- Experience in managing operations during acquisitions.
- Less than 50% travel may be required.
