Manufacturing Process EngineerRole Overview:
The Entegris facility is actively seeking a skilled and creative Manufacturing Process Engineer. This individual will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and sustaining activities in the production of our products while spearheading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency and minimizing product variability. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to support manufacturing operations and address customer quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain productivity and quality standards in the manufacturing process, which includes managing non-conforming materials, updating control limits, and participating in quality audits.
- Ensure product quality from incoming materials to finished goods.
- Enhance manufacturing productivity by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing effective solutions for safety, quality, yield, and cost.
- Minimize variation in product and process parameters by pinpointing key contributors and establishing robust control systems.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance product quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Lead investigations into manufacturing discrepancies by diagnosing equipment and process issues, conducting experiments, and applying corrective actions.
- Serve as the process expert, developing work instructions and training materials, and conducting training sessions for operators.
- Design and execute experimental trials, manage new product introductions, and oversee equipment installations as required.
- Assist in resolving machine breakdowns by providing hands-on support and guidance.
- Establish and refine inspection processes for raw materials and finished products.
- Identify key process input variables and maintain statistical process control charts.
- Collaborate with Material Engineers on non-conformance issues.
- Oversee metrology for released products and conduct measurement system analysis as necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in metrology.
- Work with Plant Quality Engineers to address customer complaints and quality issues.
- Conduct operational checks to maintain control limits for customer shipments.
- Support plant quality initiatives and customer requests.
- Assist in new product development and training for manufacturing releases.
- Manage business continuity plans for metrology and manufacturing tools.
- Lead production line excursions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Adhere to change control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to adapt to diverse work environments and customer needs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quick learner with new systems and tools.
- Proficient in documentation and technical writing.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with FMEA or other risk assessment techniques.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
