Job Overview

Verve Industrial Protection is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software security, with experience in manual and automated security testing, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. You will work closely with our development organization to identify and mitigate security risks, and collaborate with our security leadership to develop and implement effective security strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth security testing of our software products, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and exploratory security testing.
  • Develop and implement security test automation to support our continuous integration/DevSecOps product development cycle.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to stay aware of changes being made to our products and ensure that security is integrated into every stage of the development process.
  • Communicate security findings and recommendations to development and security leadership, and work with them to implement effective security solutions.
  • Write detailed reports on security findings and recommendations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role related to software security, such as pen testing, vulnerability analysis, or security testing.
  • Strong understanding of web application security, Linux/Unix system security, network security, and applied cryptography.
  • Familiarity with CVE, CPE, and CVSS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience as a software developer or working closely with developers, ideally in a CI/CD environment.
  • Familiarity with OT devices and environments.
  • Experience using various security assessment tools, such as SCA, SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanners.
