Position Overview
As an Enterprise Security Solutions Engineer, you will facilitate sales interactions with a focus on large-scale enterprise accounts within the SLED sector. Achieving and surpassing sales targets is essential, as you will develop and execute strategic account plans aimed at enterprise-wide implementations of the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Position yourself as a reliable consultant to potential and existing clients, collaborating closely with your Account Manager and local partners.
- Identify and articulate specific challenges faced by prospective and current clients that can be addressed through integrated security solutions.
- Design and recommend validated solutions tailored to resolve identified cybersecurity challenges in diverse environments.
- Ensure sustained customer satisfaction, support, and product adoption.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain technical proficiency in relevant technologies, including data centers, SDN, public cloud, security, and networking.
- Comprehend and effectively differentiate our offerings from those of leading competitors.
- Serve as the advocate for customers in technical matters, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- A minimum of 4 years in a pre-sales engineering role, systems integration, or a similar capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Proficient understanding of Palo Alto Networks products, particularly the Next-Generation Firewall, along with relevant comparative technologies.
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and management of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux, and Windows systems.
- Knowledge of L2-L4 networking, including L2 switching architectures and IP routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Able to present our security solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess complex issues and develop systematic solutions, often under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Prior experience in selling network infrastructure security devices, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Familiarity with channel partnerships and a channel-focused market approach.
- Experience in the enterprise networking security domain.
- Knowledge of contemporary network threats, malware, and endpoint security technologies.
- Possession of significant industry certifications (e.g., SANS, CISSP, CCIE).

Compensation
The compensation for this role will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location. For candidates who receive an offer, the expected starting base salary for non-sales roles or base salary plus commission for sales roles is between $192,000 and $264,000 annually. Additional compensation may include restricted stock units and bonuses, with details on employee benefits available upon request.
