NOC Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor and address minor network challenges on a 24/7 basis (shift work is essential).
Escalate issues to Tier-2 support when immediate resolution is unattainable.
Collaborate with the IT department to enhance and sustain network infrastructure.
Deliver technical support to end-users, troubleshoot, and resolve Tier-I network concerns.
Execute automated diagnostic assessments on the connectivity between computers, routers, modems, and servers.
Conduct network and server security assessments and patching utilizing Rapid7, Nmap, and Nipper scanning tools (preconfigured scans).
Mentor junior IT personnel and provide remote technical assistance to on-site field technicians.
Stay updated on advancements in network infrastructure and technology.
Qualifications:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance and the capability to uphold that clearance status.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a specialization in network engineering is required. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Prior experience or familiarity with Cisco or Aruba command line interface (configurations) is necessary.
A minimum of two years' experience as a NOC technician, System Administrator, or a related role is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security measures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
Willingness to work 24/7 shifts; availability for on-call duties outside of regular business hours to address urgent network issues.
Desire to learn new technologies and methodologies.
