Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Border States Electric is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and obtaining orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Team in promoting sales and obtaining orders.
  • Provide timely follow-up on customer technical inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain Open Order Reports, Billing Block Reports, and other reports as necessary.
  • Actively participate in the marketing and sale of Border States Electric products and services.
  • Consistently provide responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide input to BSE personnel on customer needs or concerns regarding pricing, inventory, products, competition, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Financial Services staff to resolve customer-billing problems.
  • Provide input to the pricing and purchasing areas on product evaluations, code descriptions, inventory management, pricing development, and other related functions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of prior customer service, city desk, or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products and systems.
  • Technical ability to understand electrical systems with a minimum of two-years of prior electrical distribution experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email, and SAP software.
