Job Summary and Qualifications

As an OR Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN), you will collaborate within a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Under the general supervision of the unit's director, you will oversee the coordination of all functions within the OR Department during your designated shifts. You will demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional patient care while guiding and supervising other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a resource and liaison among specialty team members, other staff, surgeons, and vendors.
  • Assist in managing patient care in the OR, supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and overseeing daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators to ensure thorough preparation for surgical procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule.
  • Work closely with surgery schedulers to optimize the OR schedule flow.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or an active multistate RN license.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Encouragement of participation in professional organizations.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.
  • Leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Pediatric and/or cardiovascular experience preferred.
