About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Operating Room Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the OR Department on designated shifts.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to other staff members, including performance evaluations, counseling, and coaching.
  • Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
  • Work closely with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators to ensure that surgical procedures are thoroughly prepared prior to surgery.
  • Verify the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule.
  • Streamline and verify the flow of the OR schedule with the surgery schedulers.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
  • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit.
  • Leadership/management experience is preferred.
  • Pediatric and/or CV experience preferred.
