We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Operating Room Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all functions in the OR Department on your designated shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the overall management of patient care in the OR, supervising all staff and ensuring department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
- Assist with the preparation of surgical procedures, verifying the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule, and working closely with surgery schedulers to streamline and verify the flow of the OR schedule.
- Provide direction and supervision to other staff members, including performance evaluations, counseling, and coaching.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators to ensure that surgical procedures are thoroughly prepared prior to surgery.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
- Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit, with leadership/management experience preferred.
- Pediatric and/or CV experience preferred.
