Key Responsibilities:
As a Custodial and Maintenance Support Specialist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive janitorial and housekeeping tasks while assisting with general maintenance duties across our facilities.
  • Execute heavy cleaning responsibilities, including floor buffing, deep cleaning of restrooms, and large-scale cleaning projects.
  • Conduct light maintenance activities such as painting, installing window treatments, replacing light switch plates, and basic plumbing tasks.
  • Occasionally assist with the collection and delivery of in-kind donations.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a focus on customer service and in alignment with our mission and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles, including floor care and light maintenance, is essential.
  • Familiarity with cleaning standards and practices is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a diverse population is crucial.
  • Strong teamwork skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and communicating in English is required.
  • A commitment to serving others is expected.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform regular bending, stooping, and standing is necessary.
  • Successful completion of criminal background checks and child abuse clearances is required prior to hiring.
  • Participation in Domestic Violence Advocate Training will be required post-hire.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, including on-call responsibilities.

Compensation:
The hourly pay rate is $18.65, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package and annual salary increments.
